Level up your “onion ring” obsession with these fried garlic scapes ft our Garlickle Seasoning!

Ingredients:
Oil for frying – use grapeseed oil, peanut oil, canola, or oil with a high smoke point
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/4 cups beer (we used Sockeye Brewery’s Dagger Falls IPA)
2 teaspoons Molly’s Garlickle Seasoning (pickled garlic, dill pickles, jalapenos, green peppercorns, dill, and sea salt)
10 freshly cut garlic scapes
Sunshine Creamy Hot Garlic Sauce for dipping
Step 1:
Heat a large douch oven or pot with about 1 inch of oil. Rinse and dry your garlic scapes. Wrap the scapes into loose knots, leaving a 1-2 inch center. Set aside.

Step 2:
In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and seasoning. Stir until well combined.
Step 3:
Add the beer to the mixture, and stir until combined.
Step 4:
Dip the garlic scape knots into the batter. Cover thoroughly.

Step 5:
Once the scapes have been covered in batter, and your oil reaches about 375, add the scapes to the oil in a single layer. Fry for 3-4 minutes, flipping halfway, or until golden brown. Once cooked, set it on a paper towel to soak up extra oil. Let cool before serving.
